I did it! Even with this crazy world changing like it has, I decided to go for it! I've been waiting for two years for the perfect space to sell my carefully curated furniture, home decor and gifts. I've consigned my pieces in many different shops around Hampton Roads, but this is it! The one I get to fill up with whatever treasures I love! It's so exciting to have a home for my refinished furniture and my vintage treasures! To be able to share it all with you in one spot! And what a fun spot it is (if I do say so myself)!!! The room wasn't ready when I took it over........check out the before, during and after!!!
It started out like this! It definitely needed some TLC! My to-do list was long! Some wall and ceiling repair, paint, new light fixture. I had a vision.....a design plan that I was so excited about.
I knew I wanted black, white and green. I also knew I wanted to incorporate a statement wall of some sort. This mural popped up in my search and the whole thing just came together instantly in my head.
Then I found this light fixture and couldn't believe the price!!It includes light bulbs!
I just needed to find the perfect wall color. I am currently obsessed with Fusion Mineral Paint's new color, Pressed Fern. So I used the Sherwin Williams app to find the closest match! It turned out to be #6468 Hunt Club. I ordered 2 gallons in Matte finish.
So after repairs, wallpaper installation and painting, I was ready to fill the space with the treasures that had been packed away (I wish I could say neatly, but nope) all over my house.
Next came tagging and pricing! So much tagging and pricing! But I got through it and then the fun part! I hired Sarah Glass from Glass House Designs to stage my room for me. She did an amazing job! She did in a couple of hours what would have taken me so much longer.....and truthfully, if I had done it, it never would've turned out as good! Styling is not my jam! I can find cute pieces, and bring pieces back from the dead....but I can't style them to save my life!!! So here is the video from my opening day! Once things return to whatever the new normal will be, I plan to have a "grand opening" event of some sort!
So please stop by if you are in Hampton Roads! The shop is located inside The Industrial Cottage at 2500 B Church St., Norfolk, VA. If you aren't local ad see something you like on my Instagram or Facebook page, message me about shipping. I'm happy to check prices for you!
